The company operates in three segments: M-I SWACO, Smith Oilfield, and Distribution. The M-I SWACO segment supplies drilling fluid systems and oilfield production chemicals; offers various waste management equipment and services; and provides completion fluids and related tools.
LO - Lorillard, Inc., through its subsidiaries, engages in the manufacture and sale of cigarettes in the United States. The company offers 41 different product offerings under the Newport, Kent, True, Maverick, Old Gold, and Max brand names. It sells its products primarily to wholesale distributors, who in turn service retail outlets, chain store organizations, and government agencies, including the United States? Armed Forces. The company was founded in 1760 and is based in Greensboro, North Carolina.
ANF - Abercrombie & Fitch Co., through its subsidiaries, operates as a specialty retailer of casual apparel for men, women, and kids. The company sells casual sportswear apparel, including knit and woven shirts, graphic t-shirts, fleece, jeans and woven pants, shorts, sweaters, outerwear, personal care products, and accessories under the Abercrombie & Fitch, abercrombie kids, and Hollister brands. It also offers bras, underwear, sleepwear, and at-home products for women under the Gilly Hicks brand. The company sells products through its stores; direct-to-consumer operations; and Websites, which include abercrombie.com, abercrombiekids.com, hollisterco.com, and gillyhicks.com. As of January 30, 2010, it operated 1,096 stores in North America, Europe, and Asia.
HIG - The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc., through its subsidiaries, provides insurance and financial services in the United States and internationally. The company engages in life, and property and casualty insurance businesses. The life insurance business comprises six segments: Retail Products Group (Retail), Retirement Plans, Institutional Solutions Group (Institutional), Individual Life, Group Benefits, and International. Retail segment offers variable and fixed market value adjusted annuities, retail mutual funds, and 529 college savings plans. Retirement Plans segment provides products and services to corporations and municipalities.
CAT - Caterpillar Inc. manufactures and sells construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, and industrial gas turbines worldwide. Its Machinery business engages in the design, manufacture, marketing, and sale of construction, mining, and forestry machinery, such as track and wheel tractors, track and wheel loaders, pipelayers, motor graders, wheel tractor-scrapers, track and wheel excavators, backhoe loaders, log skidders, log loaders, off-highway trucks, articulated trucks, paving products, skid steer loaders, underground mining equipment, tunnel boring equipment, and related parts.
