Lately it has become commonplace for stock futures to be mixed ahead of trading and this morning is no different. This morning we're seeing S&P futures trade down 1.4 points, NASDAQ futures are up 16 and Dow futures are lower by 5. Fair value for the S&P 500 today is $1.12. Computers are set for program buying at $2.57 and set for selling at $-0.13 (negative $0.13).
Shares of Xilinx rally
Programmable logic device maker Xilinx (NASDAQ:XLNX) are trading higher by $2.41, or 5.8% to $44 after the company said its inventory turnover has improved and its overseas revenue may surpass that found here in North America. With that said, the company still expects revenue for the current quarter to fall 15 to 25 percent sequentially. Archrival Altera (NASDAQ:ALTR) has seen its shares rise $1.09 to $25.90.
Comverse Technology beats by a penny
Shares of Comverse Technology (NASDAQ:CMVT) is active this morning and trading higher by 6.7% to $62.61. The provider of software and systems for the communications markets said late yesterday that first-quarter profit rose 40% as the company gained market share in its major business units.
