World Trade Center and Pentagon "attacked"

Printer friendly version

It is a gloomy day for the United States of America after two planes seemed to have purposely flown into the North and South towers at the World Trade Center in New York. Not long after these events had unfolded reports the Pentagon in Washington DC was apparently attacked by a suicide plane. Not long after these events, some reports are coming in that an explosion in the South Tower of the World Trade Center has that tower collapsed. Both of the World Trade Center towers are approximately 110 stories tall.

The FAA has grounded all air traffic across the United States with the order that all commercial air flights continue to their chartered destination, but aircraft are not allowed to depart.

All markets here in the United States are closed and it is not clear when trading will resume. Many major financial firms are located in the World Trade Center towers and building surrounding these towers.
