Futures point to higher open

Stock futures are pointing to a higher open on what could be a volatile triple-witching Friday. S&P futures (sp02h) are higher by 3 points, NASDAQ futures (nd02h) are up 12 points and Dow futures (dj02h) are higher by 24 points.

Fair value for the S&P 500 today is $1.68. HL Camp & Company has their computers set for program buying at $2.98 and set for selling at $0.48.

Nike beats estimates

Shares of Nike (NYSE:NKE) are being bid higher in pre-market from yesterday's close of $53.79 to $56 after the maker of athletic shoes said it was on track to grow earnings per share for the full fiscal year. Last night, Nike (NKE) posted fiscal second- quarter earnings of 48 cents a share, which beat estimates of 45 cents. The company said "current trends still suggest middle single-digit revenue growth over the balance of the year."

Manugistics better than expected

Manugistics Group (NASDAQ:MANU) are trading higher in pre-market action at $18.49, which is well above yesterday's close of $15.84 (+16.7%) after the purchasing and inventory data software maker posted a loss of 11 cents a share, which was better than analysts estimates looking for a loss of 15 cents a share.

You just never know!

Even though you may not think you have any option contracts that are going to expire today, check your account! Do you have an option that is zero bid?
