Correction

A correction is a reversal of movement, usually of at least 10%. This term can be applied to an individual stock, bond, commodity or an entire index. As you know, nothing trades in a straight line, and corrections are an inevitable occurrence over the long-term. Seasoned investors/traders tend to welcome the occasional correction, as a correction can offer room for potential new entry points.
