Decimalization

Decimalization is the conversion of all securities industry systems to a decimal system, away from fractional pricing. It is simply a way of listing the prices in dollars and cents, with a decimal point between the two. Decimal systems are used everywhere there are monetary transactions, excluding U.S. securities markets, which until recently, were entirely fractional.
