Top

The "top" of a stock trend usually refers to the highest trading price within a specified period of time or cycle. For example, if a trader is playing a stock on a short-term upward move, the top for that particular period will be at whatever point the stock hit the highest point of that trend and reversed, not necessarily the highest price in the securities history.
