NYSE MOST ACTIVE STOCKS: AMD LU AMT GE GLD

Jane Fox : 5/19/2006 9:58:19 AM

NASDAQ MOST ACTIVE STOCKS: INTC MSFT DELL CSCO JDSU

Marc Eckelberry : 5/19/2006 9:51:00 AM

DELL pretty much saw the high when it hit 25, I think. Lots of the short covering and hedging form sold puts took place after-hours as well.

Marc Eckelberry : 5/19/2006 9:55:46 AM

AMD was also a good short after-hours on that ridiculous bounce to 36.50. Patently absurd when it is only a few high end server chips and only at year's end. By then, the new INTC server chips will be out. Besides, AMD is getting hurt on the price wars from INTC excess inventory. And the stock is way overpriced.

Marc Eckelberry : 5/19/2006 9:45:38 AM

INTC 18.15, trade is up 3%. I would ride it up to 18.60.

Marc Eckelberry : 5/19/2006 9:43:36 AM

Stock is trading at 18 now. The after-hours reaction yesteday was way overblown, especialy considering the AMD deal was pretty much old news. Sometimes it pays to step in on panic sales after-hours when a stock has already priced in any bad news. Trade is now free.
