NEW BEARISH Plays

American Tower Corp. - AMT - close: 42.54 change: -0.66 stop: 43.55

Why We Like It:
The trend for AMT is up. In a bullish market we could use this dip toward support near its rising 50-dma as a bullish entry point. However, given the wider market's breakdown odds are growing that AMT will breakdown and catch up to the major indices.

I am suggesting a trigger to open bearish positions at $41.90. If triggered our first target is $40.10. Our second target is $37.75. We do not want to hold over the late February earnings report.

DSW Inc. - DSW - close: 24.50 change: -0.36 stop: 25.55

Why We Like It:
I am tempted to open bearish positions on DSW now but I'm suggesting a trigger to open positions at $23.75. The rally in DSW began to run out of steam in December. it's been trading sideways most of January and this recent breakdown has put the trend in serious trouble. Right now DSW is desperately clinging to its 50-dma and I believe it will lose its grip.

If triggered at $23.75 our first target is $21.50 (essentially we're aiming for the 100-dma). Our second target is $20.05.

SBA Communications - SBAC - close: 34.25 change: -0.44 stop: 35.55

Why We Like It:
SBAC is a wireless telecom stock. The trend has been up for months but the recent sell-off has put the rally in serious jeopardy. SBAC bounced from a test of the 50-dma this morning. Normally, in a bullish market this would look like a bullish entry point. However, with the major market indices looking fragile, I'm suggesting we look for a breakdown.

The plan is to use a trigger at $33.45 for bearish positions. If triggered our target is $30.15. More aggressive traders could aim for the 200-dma.
