Editor's Note:
I'm filling in for Scott tonight. It's my opinion that the widespread profit taking on Thursday was too mild. Stocks need to see a decent pullback before we can really feel any confidence in buying the dip. Unfortunately, it is entirely possible that the market will drift higher throughout the rest of October. Then again the growing worries over the foreclosure problems in this country could push the financials toward their lows and finally drag the market down with them. I would avoid chasing stocks higher.
