Editor's Note:

In addition to tonight's new candidates, these stocks caught my eye as potential bullish trades: GMT, ATW, SIFY, and GPOR.

NEW BULLISH Plays

EZCorp Inc. - EZPW - close: 33.28 change: +0.90

Stop Loss: 30.90
Target(s): 37.75
Current Gain/Loss: unopened
Time Frame: 4 to 8 weeks
New Positions: Yes, see below

Company Description

Why We Like It:
EZPW runs a pawn shop franchise. In a struggling economy business should be pretty good for this industry. Shares have recently pulled back to technical support at the 100d-ma. Traders have been consistently buying dips to this moving average for months. EZPW has already started to rebound and in doing so is keeping the bullish trend of higher lows alive.

I am suggesting bullish positions now if both EZPW and the S&P 500 open in positive territory on Monday morning. Of course this stock and the market indices could all gap open higher if we see a debt ceiling deal over the weekend.

I am setting our first target at $37.75. We'll use a stop loss at $30.90.

open bullish positions if EZPW & S&P500 are positive at Monday's open

Suggested Position: buy EZPW stock @ current levels

Marathon Petroleum Corp. - MPC - close: 43.79 change: +1.01

Stop Loss: 41.85
Target(s): 47.00, 49.75
Current Gain/Loss: unopened
Time Frame: 4 to 8 weeks
New Positions: Yes, see below

Company Description

Why We Like It:
MPC is the recently spun-off refining, pipeline, and retail segment of Marathon Oil (MRO). Shares began trading back in June and the stock has been an outperforming issue. Traders bought the dip at $42.00 on Friday morning and lifted MPC to a new high.

I am suggesting we launch bullish positions in MPC if this stock and the S&P 500 both open in positive territory on Monday morning. Odds are we'll see a gap open higher if lawmakers get a deal done before the opening bell. We'll set our targets at $47.00 and $49.75. We'll start with a stop loss at $41.85.

If MPC and S&P500 open positive, launch positions

Suggested Position: buy MPC stock @ current levels
