Global Imaging - GISX - close: 35.70 chg: -0.80 stop: 34.65

Uh-oh! This looks like trouble. There was no follow through on GISX's bullish breakout from Tuesday. Instead the stock painted a bearish engulfing candlestick, which is commonly seen as a negative reversal. We would not suggest new bullish plays at this time. Wait to see if GISX bounces from the $35.00 level. We would probably change our minds and consider new longs if GISX traded back above the $36.50 mark again.

Picked on April 05 at $36.50

Short Play Updates

Anheuser Busch - BUD - close: 45.65 chg: -1.79 stop: 47.01*new*

Good news! Last night we reported on BUD's disappointing sales volume numbers. We expected the stock to trade lower today but we didn't expect a drop this sharp so fast. Some of the analyst firms reiterated their "neutral" ratings but at least one cut BUD to a "sell" rating on the news. Volume was more than four times the normal. This looks like a serious breakdown. We will continue to target a move into the $44.00-43.00 range. We're adjusting our stop loss to $47.01. We are not suggesting new bearish positions at this time.

Picked on February 7 at $48.32
Gain since picked: - 2.67
Earnings Date 04/27/05 (unconfirmed)
Average Daily Volume: 2.4 million

Flextronics - FLEX - close: 12.16 chg: +0.24 stop: 12.55

There are no real changes for FLEX but the bounce back over the $12.00 mark is discouraging. We would be pretty cautious here with any short positions. Please see our previous update on 04/03/05.
