Long Play Updates

Black Hills - BKH - close: 37.42 change: +0.11 stop: 36.85

We remain untriggered in BKH but more aggressive traders may want to give today's rebound another look. This looks like a bounce from the bottom of its rising channel near the 40-dma. Our trigger to go long is at $38.20.

Caremark - CMX - close: 43.88 chg: -0.02 stop: 42.85

CMX dipped to its simple 50-dma today. Traders were there to buy the dip but it looks like the bounce was fading by the afternoon. Be careful here.

Deckers Outdoor - DECK - cls: 25.27 chg: +0.77 stop: 23.95

If you remember the original play description on DECK we mentioned it was a technical play based on its breakout over resistance at the $25.00 level. We were not playing the rumor that DECK is a takeover target. Well, that rumor surfaced again today and helped push DECK to a 3.14 percent gain. It may be worth noting that volume was pretty light today. It's also worth remembering that DECK has a huge amount of short interest and any further gains might just spark a short squeeze. Our target is the $29.50-30.00 range.

Forest Oil - FST - close: 43.99 change: +0.45 stop: 41.25

Good news! Today's rebound should have short-circuited the bearish engulfing candlestick on Wednesday. We would consider new bullish positions on a gain past our entry point $44.15.
