Long Play Updates
Kerzner Intl - KZL - close: 60.25 chg: -0.36 stop: 57.99
We see no change from our weekend update. KZL continues to trade above the $60.00 level, which should act as round-number support. However, a dip back toward $59.00 would not be out of the question.
Picked on July 22 at $61.01
Steel Dynamics - STLD - cls: 31.68 chg: -1.19 stop: 27.99
STLD is finally showing some weakness with today's 3.6 percent loss. We remain on the sidelines waiting for a dip back into the $30.50-30.00 range.
Picked on July xx at $xx.xx <-- see TRIGGER
Vital Images - VTAL - close: 19.38 change: -0.13 stop: 17.49

Picked on July 19 at $18.93
Short Play Updates
ATI Tech. - ATYT - close: 12.90 change: -0.05 stop: 13.41
A relatively positive article in Barron's about the graphic chip companies like ATYT and NVDA did little to help the stock. Shares of ATYT continue to sink slowly in its short-term and long-term trend of lower highs. ATYT looks poised for its next leg lower. We would buy puts here but more conservative traders may want to wait for a drop under $12.85 or 12.80 before initiating positions. Our target for ATYT is the $11.50-11.20 range.
Picked on July 17 at $12.83
Amer. Axl & Mfg - AXL - close: 25.54 chg: -0.13 stop: 27.71
So far so good. AXL's early morning rebound failed to hold and the stock remains under its simple and exponential 200-dma's. This looks like another bearish entry point. Our target is the $23.00 level but we need to exit ahead of AXL's July 28th earnings report. That means we have to exit on Wednesday afternoon at the close.
Picked on July 21 at $25.60
FirstFed Financial - FED - cls: 63.99 chg: +0.19 stop: 65.05
Our very aggressive short in shares of FED is not improving. The stock displayed another round of relative strength today even as its MACD indicator moved closer to producing a new sell signal. We're not going to close the play yet since the major averages look poised for more weakness this week.
Picked on July 21 at $62.60
Intl Game Tech. - IGT - cls: 27.20 chg: -0.73 stop: 29.01
Good news! IGT's decline today completely erased Friday's oversold bounce. This looks like another bearish entry point. Our target is the $24.50-24.00 range.
Picked on July 21 at $27.21
Juniper Networks - JNPR - cls: 23.03 chg: -0.81 stop: 25.61
Monday produced another high-volume sell-off for JNPR and the stock lost 3.39 percent as it broke down under its simple 100-dma. Even positive comments from Smith Barney to buy JNPR today failed to stem the selling pressure. Our target is the $21.50-21.00 range.
Picked on July 21 at $23.90
Par Pharma. - PRX - close: 28.62 chg: -0.39 stop: 31.51
PRX lost another 1.3 percent on above average volume today to close at another new yearly low. The stock is moving the right direction but we plan to exit the play on Wednesday afternoon at the closing bell to avoid Thursday's earnings report. Our target is the $27-26 range.
Picked on July 14 at $29.96
Sina.com - SINA - close: 27.28 change: -0.17 stop: 28.51
No change from our previous update. Our target is the $25.75-25.50 range (April lows).
Picked on June 30 at $27.90
