Career Educ. - CECO - close: 33.49 chg: -0.56 stop: 36.51

CECO tried one more time to rally past the $34.50 level this morning but failed. The 1.6% drop was fueled by better than average volume. We continue to target the $31.00 level.

Picked on October 04 at $34.99
Change since picked: - 1.50
Earnings Date 10/26/05 (unconfirmed)
Average Daily Volume: 1.6 million

Cree Inc. - CREE - close: 22.08 chg: -0.58 stop: 24.01

Another analyst downgraded the semiconductor sector today and the SOX closed in the red but the damage wasn't as bad as it could have been. The SOX found support at its 200-dma near 433. Meanwhile shares of CREE under performed its peers with a 2.5% decline on relatively strong volume. Both CREE and the SOX look short-term oversold so it may be time for a bounce, especially with the SOX at its 200-dma. Watch for the $23.00 level to act as overhead resistance for CREE. Our target is the $21 level.

Picked on October 11 at $22.99

Earnings Date 10/20/05 (confirmed)

Corning Inc. - GLW - close: 17.54 chg: -0.25 stop: 20.01

GLW continues to struggle despite some positive analyst comments on Wednesday. If the market bounces we would expect GLW to rebound with it. The $18.00 level and its 100-dma would be the first line of overhead resistance. Our target is the $16.50 level.

Picked on October 09 at $18.54

99c Only Stores - NDN - close: 9.17 chg: +0.16 stop: 9.61 *new*

Amazing! NDN dipped to $8.61 before rebounding sharply today. Our target has been the $8.60-8.50 range. We hope that maybe some of our readers were nimble enough to get out early on this one. We are turning cautious here and readers may want to consider exiting early. The RLX retail index dipped to support near the 420 level and looks poised to produce an oversold bounce. NDN will probably follow any bounce. We are going to lower our stop loss to $9.61. More conservative traders may want to exit early right here or place there stop closer to 9.50.

Picked on September 27 at $ 9.40

Toll Brothers - TOL - close: 37.59 chg: -0.60 stop: 42.51

Homebuilders continue to get pounded by inflation concerns. Shares of TOL lost another 1.57% today and look poised to hit new lows. Our target is the $36.50-36.00 range.

Trinity Ind. - TRN - close: 35.50 chg: -1.31 stop: 39.26 *new*

TRN is off to a strong start. The stock lost 3.5% on very strong volume today. The selling managed to pause at TRN's simple 100-dma. If shares produce an oversold bounce watch for the $37.50 level to act as short-term resistance with the 50-dma near $38 to also act as overhead resistance. We are lowering the stop loss to $39.26. Our target is the $32.50-32.00 level near the simple 200-dma.

Picked on October 11 at $36.88
Change since picked: - 1.31
Earnings Date 10/31/05 (unconfirmed)
Average Daily Volume: 385 thousand

Enzo Biochem - ENZ - close: 13.20 chg: +0.01 stop: 14.51

It's time to go! We are choosing to exit early in ENZ. Our plan had been to exit on Thursday afternoon to avoid holding over the company's earnings report due out on Friday. We're choosing to exit early because the stock rebounded sharply from its intraday lows of 12.77. The stock is so oversold that shares could rebound back toward the 10-dma before the company reports earnings. We strong suggest readers exit.
