Editor's Note:
Friday's intraday reversal higher must have picked up speed over the weekend. Many stocks gapped open higher this morning and the indices surged to strong gains.

GGC, TSLA, VMED were all triggered. We closed HPQ. TOO was stopped out.

Current Portfolio:

Comments:
11/19/12: The market's big rally on Monday produced a +3.0% surge in BLL. The stock has broken out to new highs Nimble traders looking for an entry point might wait for a dip.

current Position: Long BLL stock @ $43.85

11/17/12 new stop loss @ 42.55

Georgia Gulf - GGC - close: 43.06 change: +1.66

Stop Loss: 39.15
Target(s): 44.90
Current Gain/Loss: + 2.1%

Entry on November 19 at $42.18
Listed on November 13, 2012
Time Frame: 6 to 9 weeks
Average Daily Volume = 773 thousand
New Positions: see below

Comments:
11/19/12: We've been waiting patiently for GGC to breakout to a new relative high and shares decided to punish us by gapping open higher above our entry point. We wanted to open positions at $41.50 but GGC gapped higher at $42.18 this morning. The stock did continue to rally and closed up +4.0%. I am adjusting our exit target. The $45.00 level could prove to be resistance but we will aim for $47.50.

FYI: The Point & Figure chart for GGC is bullish with a quadruple top breakout buy signal and a long-term $73 target.

current Position: Long GGC stock @ $42.18

11/19/12 triggered on gap open higher at $42.18. trigger was 41.50
11/17/12 adjust the stop to $39.15

Comments:
11/19/12: The widespread rally today produced a +3.8% bounce in MMR. I will point out that MMR did struggle with technical resistance at the 10-dma and 100-dma intraday. I am not suggesting new positions at this time.

current Position: Long MMR stock @ $13.01

Splunk, Inc. - SPLK - close: 28.14 change: -0.36

Stop Loss: 26.75
Target(s): 31.50
Current Gain/Loss: + 2.1%

Entry on November 16 at $27.55
Listed on November 15, 2012
Time Frame: exit prior to earnings on Nov. 29th
Average Daily Volume = 1.0 million
New Positions: see below

Comments:
11/19/12: After outperforming late last week shares of SPLK decided to sit out today's market rally, which is disappointing. The stock dipped toward short-term support before paring its losses this afternoon. If you were hoping to buy a dip then this is your chance.

Right now we are aiming for $31.50 but more conservative traders may want to take profits early near the $30.00 level instead.

Earlier Comments:
SPLK could see a short squeeze. The most recent data listed short interest at 19% of the 54.1 million share float.

*small positions*

current Position: Long SPLK stock @ $27.55

11/17/12 new stop loss @ 26.75

Comments:
11/19/12: TSLA is surging higher. Today's market rally helped push TSLA through resistance near $32.00 and the stock hit our trigger at $32.25. There is a good chance that TSLA could see a short squeeze. The most recent data listed short interest at 62% of the 76 million-share float.

current Position: Long TSLA stock @ $32.25

- (or for more adventurous traders, try this option) -

Long Dec $33 call (TSLA1222L33) entry $0.90

Taiwan Semiconductor - TSM - close: 16.34 chagne: +0.15

Comments:
11/19/12: TSM failed to keep pace with the bounce in the SOX semiconductor sector index but shares still rallied +0.9%. This move could be used as a new entry point for TSM.

current Position: Long TSM stock @ $16.15

11/17/12 new stop loss @ 15.75
11/13/12 triggered @ 16.15
11/12/12 adjust trigger to $16.15

Comments:
11/19/12: Our new trade on VMED is off to a strong start. Shares gapped open higher at $32.77, hit our trigger at $32.85, and then soared to a +3.4% gain on the session. At the moment we're only aiming for $34.85 but more aggressive traders may want to aim higher.

*small positions*

current Position: Long VMED stock @ $32.85

BEARISH Play Updates

Crocs, Inc. - CROX - close: 12.59 change: +0.56

Stop Loss: 12.75
Target(s): 10.25
Current Gain/Loss: - 1.5%

Entry on November 07 at $12.40
Listed on November 6, 2012
Time Frame: 6 to 8 weeks
Average Daily Volume = 2.4 million
New Positions: see below

Comments:
11/19/12: CROX produced a big bounce of +4.6% and completely erased any unrealized gains. The close above its 10-dma and the $12.50 level are not good signs for our bearish trade. If this rally continues tomorrow then CROX will likely hit our stop at $12.75.

Remember that we want to keep our position size small to limit our risk.

*Small Positions*

Suggested Position: short CROX stock @ $12.40

- (or for more adventurous traders, try this option) -

Long Dec $12 PUT (CROX1222x12) Entry $0.55

Entry on November 13 at $29.60
Listed on November 12, 2012
Time Frame: 6 to 8 weeks
Average Daily Volume = 221 thousand
New Positions: see below

Comments:
11/19/12: IMPV actually tagged a new low this morning before bouncing. The stock looks poised to rally toward what should be resistance near $30.00 and the $30.25 level. More conservative traders may want to go ahead and exit now. I am adjusting our stop loss down to $30.65. I am not suggesting new positions at this time.

Earlier Comments:
We want to keep our position size small because IMPV can be a volatile stock. Our target is $25.50. FYI: The Point & Figure chart for IMPV is bearish with a $25.00 target.

current Position: short IMPV stock @ $29.60

11/19/12 new stop loss @ 30.65

Netgear Inc. - NTGR - close: 34.00 change: +0.54

Time Frame: 6 to 8 weeks
Average Daily Volume = 381 thousand
New Positions: see below

Comments:
11/19/12: NTGR spiked higher at the open and then slowly faded lower. That means there is still hope that shares might maintain their current bearish trend. However, I would not start new bearish positions at this time.

current Position: short NTGR stock @ $34.50

- (or for more adventurous traders, try this option) -

Long DEC $33 PUT (NTGR1222x33) entry $1.00

Entry on November 15 at 28.68
Listed on November 14, 2012
Time Frame: 4 to 6 weeks
Average Daily Volume = 364 thousand
New Positions: see below

Comments:
11/19/12: Great news! VPRT failed to rally with the rest of the market. Shares underperformed and lost -0.4% on the session. Bearish trades are probably still in danger if the market continues to rally so I'm not suggesting new positions at this time.

Earlier Comments:
The plan was to keep our position size small.

current Position: short VPRT stock @ $28.68

Comments:
11/19/12: We still don't see any news to account for the big reversal higher on Friday. Shares gapped open higher this morning at $26.30, which happens to be our stop loss immediately closing our trade.

I would keep an eye on TOO as the larger trend remains bearish.
