Shares of Dunkin' Brand (DNKN) hit our bullish target on Friday. AMD hit our stop loss with a negative reaction to Intel's (INTC) earnings report.

Comments:
01/19/13: Traders were in a buy the dip mode with ADSK on Friday. The stock looks ready to run past $38 soon. I would still consider new positions now at current levels.

Entry on January xx at $ xx.xx

Comments:
01/19/13: CSC saw an intraday dip on Friday but the stock managed to recover. Shares are still hovering beneath resistance at the $42.00 level. There is no change from my prior comments.

I am suggesting a trigger to open bullish positions at $42.20. More conservative traders could wait for a rally past yesterday's high at $42.30 instead. If triggered our target is $44.90.

Trigger @ 42.20

Suggested Position: buy CSC stock @ (trigger)

Ctrip.com Intl. - CTRP - close: 24.49 change: +0.49

Entry on January 07 at $23.93
Listed on January 05, 2012
Time Frame: Exit prior to earnings on Jan 31st
Average Daily Volume = 2.1 million
New Positions: see below

Comments:
01/19/13: CTRP seems to be building up steam for a bullish breakout past the $25.00 level soon. Readers could use a breakout past $25 as a new entry point but keep in mind that we plan to exit prior to the earnings report on January 31st.

Earlier Comments:
CTRP could see another short squeeze. The most recent data listed short interest at 16% of the float. We do want to keep our position size small to limit our risk.

*Small Positions*

current Position: Long CTRP stock @ $23.93

01/07/13 trade opened on gap higher at $23.93. trigger was 23.85

Changyou.com Ltd. - CYOU - close: 30.81 change: -1.17

Stop Loss: 29.45

Entry on January 10 at $30.25
Listed on January 09, 2012
Time Frame: 3 to 6 weeks
Average Daily Volume = 166 thousand
New Positions: see below

Comments:
01/19/13: Thankfully there was no follow through on Thursday's reversal on CYOU. The stock managed a +2.6% rebound on Friday. While the breakout past $30.00 is bullish I am not suggesting new positions at this time.

Earlier Comments:
I do consider this an aggressive, higher-risk trade. CYOU can be a volatile stock. Thus we want to limit our position size to reduce our exposure.

Comments:
01/19/13: It looks like the coal ETF (KOL) may have found a new short-term bottom this past week. The rebound has bounced back to short-term technical resistance at its 10-dma. Readers may want to wait for a close above $25.75 before initiating new positions.

Our multi-week target is $29.85. More aggressive traders may want to aim higher. FYI: The Point & Figure chart for KOL is bullish with a $35.00 target.

Comments:
01/19/13: Ouch! After another strong gain early in the week shares of PAL reversed near the $1.80 level. Profit taking hit on Friday with a -4.6% decline. The stock has pulled back to short-term technical support at its 10-dma and 100-dma. Readers could wait for a bounce off current levels near $1.65 or the $1.60 level as our next bullish entry point.

Comments:
01/19/13: Traders have been buying dips in PPO near its simple 50-dma the last couple of days. Now shares have bounced back to short-term resistance at the $42.00 level. I would still consider new positions now or you could wait for a rally past $42.50 instead.

Earlier Comments:
Our multi-week target is $12.75. We may have to be patient to give SONC time to get that far. FYI: The Point & Figure chart for SONC is bullish with a $15.50 target.

Comments:
01/19/13: THO saw its upward momentum stall this past week. Shares have pulled back to what should be round-number, psychological support at the $40.00 level. Traders can buy this dip or wait for a bounce to initiate new positions.

Readers might want to raise their stops into the $39.40-39.90 zone.

Time Frame: Exit prior to earnings on Feb. 5th
Average Daily Volume = 221 thousand

Comments:
01/19/13: After Thursday's bearish reversal LRN didn't see much follow through. With the market breaking out to new highs it might be tough to make any money on bearish trades. LRN still looks bearish but shares managed a +1.7% bounce on Friday. I am not suggesting new positions at this time.

long Feb $20 PUT (LRN1316n20) entry $2.00*

Questcor Pharmaceuticals - QCOR - close: 25.53 change: -0.10

Stop Loss: 26.25
Target(s): 20.50
Current Gain/Loss: unopened

Entry on January -- at $--.--
Listed on January 15, 2012
Time Frame: exit prior to earnings in late February
Average Daily Volume = 1.8 million
New Positions: Yes, see below

Comments:
01/19/13: QCOR underperformed the market on Friday. Yet shares remain above support at the $25.00 level. Currently the stock looks ready to breakdown under short-term support in the $25.50-25.00 zone. Aggressive traders could launch positions on a new drop under Tuesday's low (25.47). I am suggesting a trigger to open bearish positions at $24.90. If triggered our target is $20.50.

Please note: that short interest on QCOR is significant. The most recent data listed short interest at 50% of the 54.7 million-share float. It might be easier and safer* to buy put options on QCOR instead of trying to short the stock.

*By using puts you can limit your risk to the cost of your initial investment of the put price.

Entry on January 07 at $2.65
Listed on January 05, 2012
Time Frame: to be determined
Average Daily Volume = 21.2 million
New Positions: see below

Comments:
01/19/13: AMD had been looking pretty good on Thursday. Unfortunately AMD's larger rival Intel (INTC) reported earnings on Thursday night. Wall Street was very unhappy with INTC's guidance and details of its quarterly report. Shares of INTC gapped open lower and plunged to a -6.3% decline. AMD also gapped open lower at $2.65 and then plunged to a -10.2% decline. Our stop was hit at $2.49.

Earlier Comments:
Please note that this is a higher-risk, more aggressive trade. I am suggesting readers keep their position size small. Don't go overboard just because the share price is cheap.

*Small Positions*

closed Position: long AMD stock @ $2.65 exit $2.49 (-6.0%)

01/18/13 stopped out thanks to INTC's earnings report
01/10/13 new stop loss @ 2.49, AMD's momentum might be stalling.
