Editor's Note:
The S&P 500 looks determined to break out higher and hit a new all-time closing high. However, once it actually accomplishes this feat with a close above 1566, there is no guarantee it will continue to climb.

Our CSX and LAD trades were triggered. We want to exit our HBI trade at the open tomorrow morning. FB was triggered and stopped out.

03/27/13: The spike down on Wednesday morning didn't last very long as traders jumped in to buy the dip in AMSG. The stock almost make it back to breakeven by the closing bell. More conservative traders might want to wait for a rally past $33.55 as their entry point.

The Point & Figure chart for AMSG is bullish with a long-term $50.00 target.

Comments:
03/27/13: The Japanese yen traded sideways while the Japanese NIKKEI index posted a small gain on Wednesday. The EWJ Japan ETF continues to march higher like the energizer bunny. It just keeps going and going. The EWJ posted another new 52-week high on Wednesday. Readers may want to start raising their stop loss again.

FYI: The NIKKEI was slipping lower on Thursday morning with a minor loss of -0.3%.

Earlier Comments:
We have a longer-term time frame for this trade to work. If you're going to play it, be patient.

Listed on March 21, 2013
Time Frame: 6 to 8 weeks
Average Daily Volume = 1.0 million

Comments:
03/27/13: HBI's rally is picking up speed. Shares added +1.6% on Wednesday and closed at a new all-time high. Our exit target is $44.90 and the intraday high today was $44.87. I am suggesting we go ahead and take profits now by closing positions at the opening bell tomorrow morning. More aggressive traders could aim higher but I'm worried the $45.00 level might be round-number resistance.

*Small Positions*

current Position: long HBI stock @ $43.14

03/27/13 prepare to exit at the opening bell tomorrow
03/25/13 adjust exit target to $44.90

Comments:
03/27/13: LAD revved up today with a +1.6% gain and a breakout to new all-time highs. Our trigger to launch bullish positions was hit at $46.75. I would still consider new positions now at current levels.

Mattel, Inc. - MAT - close: 43.35 change: -0.21

Entry on March 06 at $41.35
Listed on March 02, 2013
Time Frame: 6 to 8 weeks
Average Daily Volume = 2.7 million
New Positions: see below

Comments:
03/27/13: Wednesday was another quiet day for shares of MAT. The stock is consolidating sideways. That's not too surprising since MAT is arguably overbought here. The stock hit new ten-year highs this week. Look for short-term support at the 10-dma. I am not suggesting new positions at this time.

Earlier Comments:
We may have to exercise some patience on this trade. It could take a while to get to the $45.00 level since MAT doesn't move very fast but the long-term trend is definitely higher.

current Position: Long MAT stock @ $41.35

03/25/13 new stop loss at $41.80
03/23/13 new stop loss at $41.40, adjust exit target to $44.50

Target(s): 39.25

Entry on March 21 at $36.20
Listed on March 19, 2013
Time Frame: 3 to 6 weeks
Average Daily Volume = 2.2 million
New Positions: see below

Comments:
03/27/13: After the first hour volatility shares of TSLA drifted sideways in a narrow range. Investors are probably waiting for tomorrow's "big announcement". Let's hope TSLA's management doesn't disappoint the market with less than inspiring news tomorrow. I am not suggesting new positions.

Our target is $39.25 but more aggressive traders may want to aim a lot higher.

Earlier Comments:
If shares can breakout past $40.00 it could really fly on a short squeeze. The most recent data listed short interest at 64% of the 72 million share float.

current Position: long TSLA stock @ $36.20

New Positions: see below

Comments:
03/27/13: WCN produced a very quiet day with shares hovering near $36.00 most of the session. Readers may want to wait for a rise past $36.25 before considering new bullish positions.

*Small Positions*

Current Position: Long WCN stock @ $36.50

Listed on March 12, 2013
Time Frame: 6 to 8 weeks
Average Daily Volume = 786 thousand

Comments:
03/27/13: The sideways consolidation in shares of BC is narrowing. That would suggest the stock will see a breakout, one way or the other, pretty soon. I am not suggesting new positions at this time.

Suggested Position: short BC stock @ $33.78

03/18/13 triggered on gap down at $33.78. Trigger was $33.90

Teck Resources - TCK - close: 28.30 change: -0.24

Stop Loss: 29.25

Entry on March 19 at $29.00
Listed on March 18, 2013
Time Frame: 6 to 8 weeks
Average Daily Volume = 2.0 million
New Positions: see below

Comments:
03/27/13: Hmm. . . it was an interesting session for TCK. The early morning sell-off wasn't that bad. Then TCK saw an afternoon rally attempt but the rally reversed at yesterday's high near $28.60. This also happens to coincide with short-term technical resistance at the simple 10-dma. Readers may want to wait for a new drop below $28.00 or $27.75 before considering new bearish positions.

current Position: short TCK stock @ $29.00

03/19/13 new stop loss @ 29.25

CLOSED BEARISH PLAYS

Facebook, Inc. - FB - close: 26.09 change: +0.89

Stop Loss: 25.60
Target(s): 20.50
Current Gain/Loss: - 3.4%

Entry on March 27 at $24.75
Listed on March 26, 2013
Time Frame: 6 to 8 weeks
Average Daily Volume = 39 million
New Positions: see below

Comments:
03/27/13: FB did not want to cooperate with us today. Shares gapped open lower like most of the market this morning. FB opened at $25.00 and then spiked down to $24.72. That was just enough to hit our entry trigger at $24.75. Then the stock immediately reversed and sprinted higher to a +3.5% gain. Shares managed to rally past short-term resistance near $26.00 and its 10-dma. Our stop loss was hit at $25.60.

Details behind today's rebound in FB suggest the stock reversed on better than expected news when FB released statistics on how healthy its gaming community is. The company gets a slice of Zynga's online, social gaming revenues. FB also released some info on how it plans to make more money with more effective ads and its mobile ad business.

Our plan was to keep our position size small to limit our risk.

Closed Position: short FB stock @ $24.75, exit $25.60 (-3.4%)

May $25 PUT (FB1318Q25) entry $1.64 exit $1.22 (-25.6%)
