BULLISH Play Updates

BlackBerry Limited - BBRY - close: 9.21 change: -0.36

Stop Loss: 8.49
Target(s): 10.90
Current Gain/Loss: +2.2%

Entry on August 05 at $9.01
Listed on August 03, 2013
Time Frame: 6 to 9 weeks
Average Daily Volume = 16.3 million
New Positions: see below

Comments:
08/07/13: Wednesday ended up another rough day for BBRY. Bearish analyst comments and new headlines about executives leaving the company didn't inspire any buyers. Shares failed at their 30-dma again this morning and then sank to their 20-dma near $9.10 before the day was over. If you're looking for a new entry point I would watch for a dip toward the $9.00 level or its 10-dma before considering new positions. You may want to watch for that dip and then wait for a bounce before initiating positions.

Earlier Comments:
I do consider this a more aggressive, higher risk trade but it definitely has potential if the sellers are finally exhausted. We are suggesting a trigger to open small bullish positions at $9.01. If triggered we'll use a stop below the recent lows. Our six to nine-week target is $10.90 since the $11.00 level should be resistance.

current Position: Long BBRY stock @ $9.01

Best Buy Co. - BBY - close: 30.44 change: -0.95

Stop Loss: 29.75
Target(s): 33.50
Current Gain/Loss: + 0.1%

Entry on August 01 at $30.40
Listed on July 25, 2013
Time Frame: exit PRIOR to earnings on August 20th
Average Daily Volume = 4.9 million
New Positions: Yes, see below

Comments:
08/07/13: BBY shot lower this morning before traders stepped in to buy the dip at its 10-dma. I suspect we're going to see BBY actually tag the $30.00 level soon. Nimble traders could try and buy a bounce from $30.00.

We do not want to hold over a position over BBY's earnings report on August 20th.

current Position: Long the stock @ $30.40

- (or for more adventurous traders, try this option) -

Long Sep $32 call (BBY1321i32) entry $1.20

FLIR Systems - FLIR - close: 32.88 change: -0.16

Stop Loss: 31.95
Target(s): 36.00
Current Gain/Loss: - 0.5%

Entry on August 02 at $33.05
Listed on August 01, 2013
Time Frame: 6 to 8 weeks
Average Daily Volume = 1.2 million
New Positions: see below

Comments:
08/07/13: FLIR slipped for a third day with shares posting a -0.4% decline. I would still wait for a rally past $33.20 before considering new bullish positions.

current Position: Long FLIR stock @ $33.05

Luminex Corp. - LMNX - close: 21.08 change: +0.63

Stop Loss: 19.79
Target(s): 23.00
Current Gain/Loss: + 2.3%

Entry on August 07 at $20.60
Listed on August 06, 2013
Time Frame: 6 to 8 weeks
Average Daily Volume = 167 thousand
New Positions: see below

Comments:
08/07/13: The oversold bounce in LMNX continued on Wednesday with a +3.0% gain. The stock may have gotten a boost from news out this morning that LMNX was restructuring its business and will reduce its workforce by about 5%. Management then reaffirmed its prior guidance.

Our trigger to open small bullish positions was hit at $20.60. It is worth noting that the stock's rally did stall at technical resistance at the simple 50-dma.

*small positions*

current Position: Long LMNX stock @ $20.60

Lowe's Companies - LOW - close: 44.30 change: -0.57

Stop Loss: 44.40
Target(s): 49.50
Current Gain/Loss: unopened

Entry on August -- at $--.--
Listed on August 05, 2013
Time Frame: exit PRIOR to earnings on Aug. 21st
Average Daily Volume = 5.9 million
New Positions: Yes, see below

Comments:
08/07/13: LOW is now down two days in a row. Both days shares lost about 60 cents each. If LOW breaks down below the $44 level we will likely drop it as a candidate.

We are suggesting a trigger to open bullish positions at $45.60. If triggered our short-term target is $49.50. However, we will plan on exiting prior to LOW's earnings report on August 21st.

FYI: The Point & Figure chart for LOW is bullish with a long-term $57.50 target.

Trigger @ 45.60

Suggested Position: buy LOW stock @ (trigger)

Texas Instruments - TXN - close: 39.65 change: -0.08

Stop Loss: 38.90
Target(s): 44.50
Current Gain/Loss: unopened

Entry on August -- at $--.--
Listed on August 03, 2013
Time Frame: 6 to 8 weeks
Average Daily Volume = 8.2 million
New Positions: Yes, see below

Comments:
08/07/13: TXN continues to hover just below resistance near the $40.00 level. Once the market rebounds from its current pullback I am expecting TXN to breakout higher.

We are suggesting a trigger to launch bullish positions at $40.20. If triggered our multi-week target is $44.50.

Trigger @ $40.20

Suggested Position: buy TXN stock @ (trigger)

- (or for more adventurous traders, try this option) -

buy the Sep $40.00 call (TXN1321i40)

BEARISH Play Updates

The Mosaic Co. - MOS - close: 41.36 change: +0.68

Stop Loss: 42.10
Target(s): 35.25
Current Gain/Loss: unopened

Entry on August -- at $--.--
Listed on August 06, 2013
Time Frame: 6 to 8 weeks
Average Daily Volume = 9.8 million
New Positions: Yes, see below

Comments:
08/07/13: MOS ignored the market's widespread weakness and posted a bounce (+1.6%). The stock is still trading with a short-term bearish trend of lower highs. I don't see any changes from my prior comments.

I am suggesting small bearish positions if MOS can trade at $39.65. That's ten cents below today's intraday low. Today's high was $42.00. We'll use a stop loss at $42.10. You may want to consider buying put options instead of shorting the stock since your risk on buying a put is limited to the cost of the option.

Trigger @ 39.65 *small positions*

Suggested Position: short MOS stock @ (trigger)

- (or for more adventurous traders, try this option) -

buy the Sep $35 PUT (MOS1321u35)
