Editors Note:

The major indexes traded around the flat line until late afternoon. The Russell traded to a draw and posted both higher and lower numbers intraday. The Nasdaq gave back nearly half of Wednesday's gains. This was a consolidation day while everyone waits for somebody else to make the first move. This could continue through Friday. The rising interest rates, falling oil prices and multiple earnings disappointments seems to have revived the uncertainty.
